At STAY Camden, sustainability is managed day to day by our Green Team, working with every part of the business.

With support from sustainability consultants Mission: Net Zero, they look at how we run the building, from energy and water to waste and sourcing. We also work with neighbours and organisations across Camden.

ACCREDITATIONS

Since 2022, STAY Camden has held a Gold Award from Green Tourism, an independent certification scheme for sustainable tourism businesses. We also hold Greengage EcoSmart Plus accreditation.

CARBON BALANCING

We buy Verra-certified carbon credits from the Cikel Brazilian Amazon REDD APD Project in Pará, Brazil, which helps keep Amazon rainforest standing that was planned for clearance. In July 2025, we retired 58 credits.

TARGETS

Each year we set targets to reduce our energy use, waste and scope 1 and 2 carbon emissions.

Getting involved

There are a few simple ways to take part during your stay, from skipping a housekeeping clean to donating at reception.

Each week at our serviced apartments in London, we collect surplus or unopened food for Castlehaven Foodbank in Camden. We also collect unused pet items for Cats Protection's Hendon Centre.
